Life, Writing, and a Bonus for Reading 'Til the End

Hey friend,
Real talk… it’s been a hot minute since I’ve sent out a proper update. This email has been on my to-do list every day this week, and—surprise!—it’s finally happening on Friday with one hour to spare before my next coaching call. 🙃
So, let’s catch up.

💬 Life Lately:
Kate’s off living her best college life—she was recently inducted into the Psi Chi International Honor Society and took a study abroad trip to Europe in March. (No big deal, right?! Just a proud mom over here.)
In sadder news, we had to say goodbye to my grandma’s cat, Butters, back in December. That one hit hard, and I’m still grieving. But soon after, a sweet little kitten chose Russ at a local cat café (as they do), and now we have a new chaos agent named Daisy ruling the house.
Also, my family has apparently spent way too much time around hospital food this year (zero stars, not recommended). My dad had a rough stretch, but I’m so relieved and thankful to say he’s finally feeling like himself again.
✍️ Writing Update:
People keep asking, “When’s your next book coming out?”
And I get it. But the honest answer is: I’m still marketing the current one, and God hasn’t handed me the blueprint for the next yet.
In the meantime, I’m writing weekly over on my Faith After Reconstruction blog and doing a lot of thinking, praying, and whiteboard scribbling.
💼 Coaching Update:
Last year, I took a leap and completed the Hope*Writers Coaching Certification—and wow, the doors that opened!
Since January, I’ve:
Spoken at the Hope*Story Conference
Coached over 20 authors
Run my first Social Media Mastermind
Signed on as book launch admin for two incredible projects
And stepped into full-time coaching and consulting for five authors on their publishing journeys
I’m overwhelmed (in the best way) by how God is growing this work. It’s humbling and exciting—and it’s only the beginning.
